Meaningful moment in my life

The meaningful moment in my life
: Youth Travel Program in Japan

In the winter of 2019, I went to Japan with my friend on a youth travel program.

I was very nervous because it was my first time going on a trip without my parents. I was afraid that even cell phone was banned.

I couldn't talk much with my friends for three days because I was shy. However, there was a chance to get close to them. Because it is a growth travel program, we have to find the way to go to the destination. I usually found my way well, so I led my group and I was able to find the destination safely. As I spoke first, I became close to my friends and felt tie. After living together for 7 days like that, I could feel that I had grown a lot. Because I have more leadership than before and I have learned how to relate to people.

A moment back then

Though not so often, there are those days in which something suddenly comes to your mind. For me, these are usually momentary flashbacks or small fragments of my past memories and experiences. And one of those memories is rather short but not to say short-lived.  And a lthough I find it hard referring to it as a 'life-changing' experience, it is indeed one of those memories that is deeply imprinted in my mind and means a lot to me. Back then, the 9-year-old me was in Seoul, since my family moved around quite a lot of places. The late-spring sun was glittering like sprinkles of gold, with the family tent set up on the soft grass that overlooked the Han River along with some other tents scattered here and there with people laughing and enjoying their spring excursions. While dozing off comfortably in the tent, I woke up to the tune of relaxing, yet upbeat song coming from somewhere outside. Instinctively, I went out of the tent and danced to the song, with my arms swinging and m...

Meaningful moment in my life

Meaningful Moment in My Life    After learning the lesson 'Meaningful Life', I thought about what is my meaningful moment in life. It was the day when I traveled to Busan with my friend. It was my first trip(going somewhere far)without my parents. My mommy and daddy were worried about me and kept telling me that I should be careful about the car and people. However, I wasn't worried at all. I woke up in 7 and I prepare for my trip. We took a subway to get to the station and we took a train to Busan! As soon as arriving at the destination, we walked to the subway station (thankful, it was nearby the train station) We took a subway and head to the gallery. But after taking off the subway, we need to find the gallery. I launched the Google Map and input the location where I need to go. It took more than 20minutes to find it. I asked a lady and the man "Excuse me, do you know where is Seomyeon Gallery?" Fortunately, they were so kind and inform the way. The contract...

My most meaningful moment

Have you ever lived in a foreign country for a long period? Well, I have. If I had to pick the most meaningful moment in my entire life, I'll pick two and a half years that I spent in Japan. It's always exciting to travel to different countries. But, If you were told to live there, where your language isn't spoken, how would you feel? It was a total disaster for me as a young child. However, I could avoid the worst by going to an international school, where English is spoken. I couldn't speak a single word out till one month. I still remember the day when I told my idea in front of my friends in class. Since then, I wasn't afraid of English anymore. My English became better and better every day. The point is, I learned how to enjoy presenting in front of everyone. These days, the ability to give a public speech is very important. It's an inevitable thing to do to succeed in your career, and even in school, we give a presentation in front of everyone. For me,...
